Boxes of Fun

I know it’s been said by loads of people but it’s true. You just can’t go wrong with a large cardboard box and kids.
Give a child a cardboard box and it’s like giving then a gateway to a secret world full of adventure, fun and excitement. It entertains them for hours and allows them freedom to express themselves in a way their structured ‘shop bought’ toys don’t.
Recently we discovered that our house bunnies had chomped through a corner of an old storage box in our conservatory. So we emptied it and put it outside ready with the recycling rubbish. A few minutes later we came out in the garden to find two of our girls being chased by a box monster!
That ready made bunny hole, whilst annoying for us, was perfectly placed for hours of fun in the garden.

  1. I agree.. what kid doesn’t get hours of fun out of boxes?! So many great ways to play with them. Thanks for joining in our 100 Days of Play! I’m a bit behind, so I apologize… but you are now officially linked and shared!

Boxes have a 101 uses and fire a child’s imagination and creative play. I love the sound of the girls giggling in the video, thanks for sharing with Country Kids.
