How To Make A DIY Paper Flower
Take your card and using a pencil mark out some 80mm x 80mm squares and cut them out. Next mark in 5mm on each side and draw a line down (this is a fold line). Now line, 5mm apart, from line to line (you can take the line to just over half way rather than all the way across). Fold your card in half so you can see the lines as in the bottom right hand photo.
Using some sharp scissors carefully cut along the length of each 5mm line stopping at the fold line. Snip one length away so that you leave a small tab.
Using a ruler and a scoring tool (fork, end of scissors, wooden stick) score along the score line and bend the card up.
Place the length that doesn’t have the tab onto the Bostik Micro Dots.
and glue to the folded edge like the photo below.
Carefully curl/bend the flower shape at each segment so it starts to curl and you can glue the tab onto the other side using the Bostik Micro Dots.
Now decorate one side of your flower with Bostik Glitter Glue and set to one side to dry. To speed up the process you can place on top of a radiator or on a sunny window ledge.
How To Make Your Pipe Cleaner Support
While your flower is drying take two pipe cleaners and twist them together. Next, bend the twisted pipe cleaners in half and twist them in the centre to make a stalk (about 3cm in length) with two branches.
Twist the end of one of your branches around a pencil a couple of times, to make the photo holder end and place into your bottle top.
How To Make Your DIY Paper Flower Photo Holder
When your glitter glue is dry It’s time to make your DIY Paper Flower Photo Holder.
Place three Bostik Foam Pads inside the flower rim and lace a pompom inside, from the front of the flower. I like to place one of the foam pads over the join in the flower to give it extra strength.
Now add three foam pads to the tip of the pipe cleaner stem and gently place the back of the pom pom on to it.
Using a foam pad on the bottle lid and on the curled part of the pipe cleaner photo holder (wow, that’s a mouthful!), strategically place your second flower… add another foam pad to the stem if you need to for extra stability.
Now you’re ready to add your photo’s!
