Have you heard of The Amazing People Club? I hadn’t until recently.
They publish books and audio stories that provide unique insights into the exploits, achievements and motivations of some of the world’s most inspirational figures including Leonardo DaVinci, Shakespeare, Marie Curie, Mozart, Florence Nightingale, Michelangelo, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein.
These interactive textbooks feature amazing photos from Olympics past, as well as interactive quizzes and audio stories that offer unique insights on the Games. The use of avatar software enables readers to come “face to face” with characters including
- Socrates in Ancient Greece talking about the first Olympic Games,
- Oscar Swahn, the oldest Olympian who competed in the Antwerp Games at the age of 72
- Jesse Owens who broke racial barriers and records when he took 4 gold medals at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936.

My favourite part of the Olympic this year was watching the opening and the closing of the Olympic. Why you may ask? Well, after the last Olympic people kept saying London would not be able to match the performance. It was great to see that it was the most watched.

Loved the Olympics which surprised me. Favourite event was the judo where the medal winner looked up and spoke to her late mother.
