When I started my family I had no strong desires around gender or quantity.
I was blessed with moving very quickly from one child to three (there are only 14 months between my eldest and my twins) and they were all girls!
They have such a special bond and have no idea just how lucky they are to have each other. It’s beautiful to be a part of and I often watch them with a mix of envy and adoration.
RaRa and RoRo could not have wanted for a better older sister. From the moment they were born she embraced and loved them. She dealt with the massive change to her world with so much grace for one so young. And in return they gave her strength and sisterhood. A power like no other and a force to be reckoned with.
As a threesome it just works. The madness, the love, the adventure. The unit as a whole and the individuality.
Raising these three young girls and helping to them to develop into women is an honour and a privilege and they fill me with so much pride.
I’ve written this before and I mean it from the heart …”I hope that the bond the three of them have now, stays steady and true as they grow. That as they branch out and follow their own paths and lives they will still make time for each other and remember the power of three“.
What prompted me to write this today? A photo …
A photo of dreams, innocence, friendship …. and the end to a lovely windy Summers day.
